How To Get A Workout In And Bond With Your Baby ~ Week 2
No matter how alone you feel, you are not alone. You have your baby. The bond between you and your baby is strong and will only get stronger as you bond more with your baby. Together, you can accomplish many things. Your baby can be your motivation. Whether it’s to be fitter, so you can see your baby grow up to be the person you want them to be. Or he/she can be your reason to leap for the stars and go for your dreams. Let us continue our journey together and keep exercising with our babies.
Remember, it does not matter if you have no exercise equipment because we can use our baby as a weight. The nice thing about these exercises is we do not need a lot of space. All you need is enough space for one person to do a push-up, a baby blanket, and your baby.
- Jog With Your Baby
Directions: Start out with holding your baby in front. Then jog in place. You can also jog in a circle.
- 10 Jumping Jacks
Directions: Lay your baby on the baby blanket in front of you. Be sure to keep eye contact with your baby. Start with feet together. Jump feet apart about shoulder width and clap your hands above your head at the same time. Then jump into attention by bringing your feet back together and bringing your hands down.
- 10 Lunges With Your Baby
Directions: Hold your baby in front. Start standing with feet together. Then take one leg and step backward. That back leg bends and the knee touches the floor. The front leg stays stationary and make sure your front bent knee does not go passed your toes. After your back knee touches the ground just stand back up bringing your back leg back to your starting position of feet together.
- 10 Supermans
Directions: Lay your baby next to you. Start face down on the floor. Extend your arms over your head. When you are ready, lift your feet (keeping your legs straight), arms, and head off of the floor and hold for 30 seconds – 1 minute, and then relax.
- 10 Squat Press With Your Baby
Directions: Start standing with feet about shoulder width apart. Hold your baby upright under the arms, supporting the head/neck in front about shoulder height. Squat down like you are going to sit on a chair. Once you can not go any lower go back to standing position. Then push your arms up so that your arms are next to your ears and straight. Keep eye contact with your baby and once your arms are straight, hold for a couple of seconds and then bring down your arms to shoulder height.
